Our Purpose

Our mission is to enhance and inspire worship in every ministry setting of Calvary Chapel, and to build up the "worship community" through instruction and encouragement.

Our desire is that every worshipper would have a personal experience of God's presence during worship.  This experience involves a growing spiritual maturity in the worshipper, where worship becomes an offering to God that expresses gratitude, faith, and devotion.

 Praise & Worship

We put a great emphasis on musical worship in our services here at Calvary Chapel West.  We believe that music reaches into the heart and soul of people better than anything except the Bible, and therefore it is a large part of our service.  Just as in times past, we desire to express God's infinite goodness and mercy through song and have His Glory fill our hearts, which is in essence; His House.

There is truly no higher musical calling than to lead people to the feet of Jesus.  With this sole purpose in mind, we endeavor to "sing a new song and play skillfully", as encouraged in Psalm 33:3, to bring honor and adoration to Christ Jesus, who alone has been so gracious to us.

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." (Deut. 6:5)

 Adoration

Many people think that praise and worship is only singing songs at church, but it is so much more! It is also a condition of your heart -- a willingness to exhalt God and yield to His will. Worship is an expression of love and awe to the God who gives us more than we deserve. Whether you express your worship by singing, playing music, dancing or in some other way, remember that you are called to worship God with your every action, every day of your life. God is holy, loving and worthy of all our worship and devotion.

Do you have a passion for worship?  Are you gifted of the Spirit vocally and/or musically?  Then we invite you to consider joining us on our worship team.  Call the church office or email: info@calvarychapelwest.com for info on how to get involved.
